Greer Preparatory Academy Building New Facility with $30 Million in JEDA Bonds
Taylors, SC — Greenville County
The South Carolina Jobs-Economic Development Authority (JEDA) has issued $30 million in bonds to finance Greer Preparatory Academy’s new facility in Greenville County.
The tax-exempt Educational Revenue Bonds will be used for the construction and operation of the 32-classroom facility and athletic fields, as well as to refinance Greer Preparatory Academy’s original purchase of 52 acres of land for the campus at 4250 Locust Hill Road in Taylors.
Established in 2024, the public charter school is expected to open its new home for the 2025-2026 school year and will serve 770 to 800 students in grades 3-8 at full capacity.
“We’re excited to embark on our next stage of growth in providing this educational option for the children and families of our Upstate communities. JEDA financing is a critical piece of our plans.”
